So where does the money go?

We have no paid staff. This means that all money raised goes to homelessness charities in the UK (mostly to Emmaus UK). We normally receive around 7% of the whole booking price – at no added cost to the customer, guaranteed.

Emmaus Communities

Most of our income goes to providing long-term accommodation and work to those who need it. Through Emmaus UK, people are provided with a home for as long as they need it, in an Emmaus community.
This allows people to take stock of their lives and deal with any issues they might have. People living in Emmaus communities are also provided with job opportunities, which is key to restoring feelings of self-worth and independence.

Housing First

We also fund Housing First services. Housing First is an evidence-backed approach to ending homelessness, which begins by offering a home to somebody who needs one, unconditionally.

Rather than making people address problems (such as mental health issues, conflict with family, and drug abuse) before they are allocated somewhere to live, Housing First provides a stable and permanent base to address such issues properly.

General Support

General support covers a range of services that provide support to the homeless. This can be anything from mental health treatment, help with regaining employment or providing support with the process of integrating back into society.
Getting off the streets is tricky enough. Staying off the streets is another challenge altogether, but with the correct support available, the transition back into society can be easier and more successful.
